Once Upon a Broken Heart fantasy trilogy by Stephanie Garber, which includes Once Upon a Broken Heart, The Ballad of Never After, and A Curse for True Love.
The series follows Evangeline Fox, a young woman who refuses to believe her true love is marrying someone else. Desperate to stop the wedding, she strikes a dangerous bargain with Jacks, the charming and wicked Prince of Hearts, a powerful Fate whose kiss is deadly. In exchange for his help, Jacks demands three kisses from Evangeline, to be given whenever and wherever he chooses.
This deal plunges Evangeline into a legendary, magical, and perilous game across the Magnificent North. As she navigates ancient curses, hidden prophecies, and shifting alliances, she must decide if she can trust a Fate who thrives on chaos, all while searching for her own happily ever after.
